Therapy With Bri

Therapy is a deeply intimate and unique process, so I want you to have a clear sense of what to expect when working with me.

What does a typical session look like?
A typical session with me is a blend of reflection, creativity, and challenge. We’ll start by checking in on your week and exploring what’s been coming up.

As a writer and a potter, I value creativity as a way of understanding our inner world. We may use writing or drawing to explore emotions, especially the ones that feel scary or hard to name. At times, we might step into role play to give voice to thoughts or monologues that have been looping in your mind (yes, it can feel a little goofy at first, but it works).

There’s often laughter woven in, too. And along the way, I’ll ask thoughtful, sometimes challenging questions.

My therapeutic style places a strong emphasis on that challenge. I believe meaningful change often begins with a bit of discomfort. I’ll support you through it, helping you move toward growth that isn’t just positive—but lasting.

Why I became a therapist...

My dream of becoming a therapist started at a pretty young age.
Growing up as an only child with a single parent, I often found myself in adult-like conversations—asking people how their day was going, or other questions that might seem unusual coming from a child. But for me, those questions came from a place of genuine curiosity and care.

I was in middle school when my mom had to sit me down for the classic, "No, seriously, you need to stop talking to strangers" talk. She’d caught me once again chatting with random people outside her job, checking in on their day as if I were their neighbor or long-lost friend. Looking back, those moments made it clear that I’ve always wanted to help.

Becoming a therapist felt like the most natural path forward, a goal that blossomed from how I’ve always thought, felt, and engaged with the world.

I want the same for you: to lean into a way of being that feels true, exciting, and full of purpose. We’re all unique, and therapy can help you embrace those one-of-a-kind qualities while also gently facing and processing the parts of yourself you may struggle with.

As a therapist, I help guide clients toward recognizing and celebrating who they are, and build a life they feel proud of and eager to live. When I’m not in session, you can find me hiking, making elaborate desserts, playing board games with my husband, or doting on my 10-pound Toy Poodle.
